Blu Pointe Restaurant, a Hudson Valley leader since 2015, grappled with a post-pandemic double whammy: attracting top talent from NYC and overcoming a wave of negative online reviews. These reviews stemmed from the challenges of the past few years – staffing shortages and necessary price adjustments due to supply chain issues.

My solution? Repositioning Blu Pointe’s online presence. I aimed not only to attract new customers but also to entice experienced professionals from the city to join our team by highlighting the heart and soul of Blu Pointe – its exceptional staff. This video marketing campaign would showcase the vibrant work environment, talented individuals, and the unique work-life balance Blu Pointe offers.

 

Amplifying Authenticity

The key to success was genuineness. We identified team members who were comfortable sharing their stories on camera, fostering a collaborative environment to ensure their passion shone through. By showcasing their team members we not only were able to reach a wider audience through friends and family sharing each video, but we also boosted morale inside the restaurant. The interview process became a fun and exciting time for the team, helping each other craft their own message and learn more about who they are as a part of the team.

We defined Blu Pointe’s value proposition: creating a unique Hudson Valley dining experience outside of New York City. Through captivating visuals and team member interviews, the videos explored how Blu Pointe delivers this promise, from the unmatched waterfront views to the exceptional culinary experience.

The videos weren’t just for Youtube. We promoted them across social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn) to build a following and connect with potential employees and customers. This multi-pronged approach aimed to showcase both the “who” and the “why” of Blu Pointe.
