Uncle Huck's Louisiana Kitchen

Welcome to Uncle Huck’s Louisiana Kitchen where there’s “A Party In Every Bite.”

Uncle Huck’s is an authentic Cajun restaurant serving up the finest flavors of the ‘Big Easy’ New Orleans in Newburgh NY. Take a stroll down Bourbon Street and feast on some family friendly southern style cuisine, right in your backyard.

I was tasked with creating a fun and edgy brand for a Mardi Gras style restaurant. This project required me to take concepts and turn into a finished product in a very short amount of time. I began with some concept print ads to find the voice and style of the restaurant. This is where the taglines “Let The Good Times Roll” and “A Party In Every Bite” were discovered. Taking the colors from the buildings awnings, I created a style that could be used throughout the digital and print marketing materials.

Expanding the Brand

Eventually the design styles were incorporated into the interior design of the restaurant. We updated the space with color branded beads and lined the back of the bar with oversized posters for in house catering, bulk chicken to-go, drink specials and our custom t-shirts.

Design Details

A great feature at the bar is 2 frozen drink machines with a total of 4 adult slush drinks. Custom drink signage was created to fit the machines and draw attention along with some smirks from their guests.

Website Development

The mobile responsive website was next. It needed to be quick, bright, and match all other materials. I developed the site via wordpress and launched a few weeks prior to our grand opening to build anticipation with the local community.

Social Media Branding

I carried the branding over to Facebook to reach a wider local audience while teasing them with behind the scene food tastings, decor, and more. I used the festive masked shrimp art I designed from my ad concepts as our cover photo teaser.

Once Uncle Huck’s opened its doors I created their instagram account and designed a Facebook ad that took the styles from the bar signage to help the colors pop even more. The ad drove more followers to instagram for more behind the scene shots and specials focused on the younger demographic.
